Deadline November 15th, 2021
OMEP: Theory into Practice digital journal calls teachers and advanced students who are part of the community of this Organization to present articles about pedagogical practices of early childhood education.
The journal’s 5th/2022 edition will be dedicated to the pedagogical experiences of educators and families during the COVID-19 pandemic and the reflections on learning, challenges and lessons for improvement.
Different experiences and research show that, in the course of the pandemic, both families and educational institutions have faced great changes in order to guarantee the right to education and care for young children. Families changed their daily routines and became more active educational agents, deploying new strategies to guide and accompany their children at home. Educators implemented new strategies to keep educating at distance or to sustain health measures within institutions that remained opened or reopened. The bonds, communication and perception of educators and families have changed, redefining roles and giving new meanings to young children’s relationship between family and school life.
