The World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education (WCECCE) will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 14 to 16 November 2022. Over 1500 participants are expected to take part in the World Conference, among which are OMEP representatives: Mercedes Mayol Lassalle – OMEP World President; Udomluck Kulapichitr – VP for Asia Pacific; Adrijana Višnjić-Jevtić – VP for Europe; Lisbeth Gouin – OMEP Representative in UNESCO; Daniele Perruchon – OMEP Representative in UNESCO; Jessica Essary – OMEP Representative in the UN and Lily Wong – President of OMEP Singapore.
The conference, organized by UNESCO, has the aim to reaffirm the right of every young child to quality care and education from birth and urge Member States to renew and expand their commitment to and investment in ensuring that access of all girls and boys to quality early childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education. In addition, it will provide an important forum for policy exchange and scale-up of proven programs and innovations in ECCE across regions and countries.
