Launched in June 2017, the OMEP Executive Committee created a peer-reviewed online journal to share educational practices and research for early childhood.
Formative Evaluation
OMEP Theory into Practice is designed as a tool to encourage empowerment and professionalization. It builds an epistemology of translation, assuming leadership roles through collective practices.
Knowledge & Community
Promoting a local source of knowledge, we construct an understanding of childhood as a common resource. We strengthen early childhood development as a community of scholars.

In this special issue, we take an in - depth look at the impact of the project “Toy Libraries: Learning Life Through Play”, an initiative led by the World Organization for Early Childhood Education (OMEP) that was awarded funding through UNESCO’s Participation Programme for the 2024 - 2025 biennium.

This special issue brings together valuable things from all early childhood practitioners around the world for early childhood education and care. These reflections focus on sustainability however meaningful for young children through engaging in such work play, inquiry, and community engagement and way shows published high-quality education among our children by making sure how students are being educated and taking proactive role as actors of agency with further persistence of the people researcher share ideas etc.

We are pleased to present the No. 8 of our International Journal, published in the framework of the UNESCO Global Action Network on Education under the theme "Early Childhood Education: Future challenges and prospects". This edition features a pedagogy of early childhood in relation to research around the news around the more complex global human rights research around our time.

OMEP: THEORY INTO PRACTICE No. 7, 2024
OMEP Magazine THEORY INTO PRACTICE No. 7, 2024 is a result of work delivered in the framework of the UNESCO Participation Programme 2022-2023. OMEP, together with OMEP National Committees from Africa and the Asia Pacific region, specifically Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria, submitted a project on ESD for ECE called Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for the ESD 2030 Portfolio, joining forces with OMEP and its world supported journal. The project began in August 2023 and ended in December 2023.
OMEP: THEORY INTO PRACTICE No. 6, 2023
The OMEP Magazine THEORY INTO PRACTICE No. 6, 2023 is dedicated to the acknowledgment of child-friendly strategies for the development of character, emotional and cognitive learning in institutions dedicated to early childhood. Some of these strategies are implemented and ready for the future, while others are references for future successes such as long career learner stories etc. in additional settings.
OMEP: THEORY INTO PRACTICE No. 5, 2022
The magazine was published for the 10th anniversary of the OMEP journal in early childhood education during the pandemic, and the most relevant aspect was the magazine itself. First, five articles are actually on topic from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, India, Japan, Russia, New Zealand and Uruguay.

This No. 4 of the OMEP Magazine is published in Spanish and English, and it is focusing on the importance of play in early childhood. Colleagues from Brazil, Colombia, Japan, Korea and New Zealand participated in this edition.

OMEP: THEORY INTO PRACTICE No. 2, 2019
This issue is born global and local. It carries the research-based quality of practice in several areas: childhood with a particular view on social issues in a critical focus on pedagogical work and inclusive schools. Several OMEP National Committees contributed to this issue such as: Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, France, India, Italy, Japan, and Spain.
