Winners of the “My backyard is the world” 2023 award

Within the framework of the “My backyard is the world” Award, we announce the winners of the 2023 edition, for institutions dedicated to early childhood care and education in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and Peru.

The “My backyard is the world” award is a joint initiative of OMEP Latin America, in which the National committees of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay, the Comprehensive Association for Children (AINI Network) of Bolivia, and Fundación Arcor in Argentina and Chile, Instituto Arcor Brazil, and Grupo Arcor in Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. In turn, it is sponsored by the OAS (Organization of Ibero-American States) and the Inter-American Institute of Children and Adolescents.

The objective of this initiative is to recognize good practices in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in institutions dedicated to early childhood care and education.

Winner: Mapuche Ethnic-Medicinal Agroecological Garden “Tukun Lawen”. Emilia Romagna School. Traiguén De la Araucanía, Malleco Province, Chile.
