OMEP New Scholar Award is a world initiative of OMEP,created in 2019, in order to promote study and research related to early childhood education and care to facilitate broad understanding of the needs of early childhood worldwide. It is supported by the OMEP Korea National Committee.
Each year the OMEP New Scholar Award Committee reviews abstracts and selects up to two applications for award: one for a postgraduate student (during masters or doctoral degree) and one for an early career researcher (within 5 years from gaining doctoral degree). Winners will receive their award at OMEP’s World Annual Conference. The amount of award is US$500 for post a graduate student winner and US$1,000 for an early career researcher winner.
